International Comparisons

The Education Mission of International Comparisons.

A concern for International Comparisons is what we see as a lack of Civic Engagement in the US. We feel that, on average, US citizens are under-informed about what is going on in their neighborhoods, cities, counties, states and nation. US citizens do not understand their rights and civic duties. We have decided that we need to take action to fight this. We need to do something to ignite the spark of Civic Engagement for the new generation of political leadership. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” It’s a quote routinely attributed to Edmund Burke. Burke did not say it, and at some point we will find the correct source, but for now, the sentiment drives us.

We believe that everyone who is eligible needs to vote. However, voters need to be educated. An uneducated populace is not properly equipped to choose their leaders, legislators, or laws. While this site seeks to educate, we feel we can no longer be complacent. The US has fallen behind the advanced democracies of the world in health care, caring for our veterans, caring for our elderly, and numerous other practices and policies. We, as citizens, need to take action and change this.
